- It has been a LONG 5 days of Professional Development. SO much philosophical talk about the school values and what teaching is about and how we’ll bring love into the classroom. I loved it the first day and tolerated it the second and third days…but now I just want curriculum and time in the classroom and time to ask questions. And my fellow teachers are all feeling the same way. EEK.
- But tonight we had a lovely “family” dinner with the other newbies at BIBA Bay. We had tacos and they were AMAZING. Black beans, sweet potatoes, cilantro, limes, sour cream, cheese, peppers, onions, tomatoes, avocado, mushrooms…incredible and so delicious! I was still full from lunch but I ate a lot because it was so yummy. I also really love this group and was reminded how much I love them when a few people who live off-campus joined. I just am so happy to have social and like-minded but diversely-interested people in Carmel, Ellie, James, Quinny, Ali, Suzy, Amy (and family) and Erica (and family). We enjoy being together and are here to support each other. It makes life away from home much easier :)
